Is there a way to select a drawing scale? I have tried the menu Options, Current Drawing Preferences but that only resizes the dimension text. I drafted a glider, supposed be full size, for people, but the dimensions are not what I want. I'm trying to use a drawing scale of 1:50, units of mm on A4 paper - 8 1/2 by 11 inches . The glider is 5000 mm long or 5 m.

			Hi,

I would like to draw a 360° protractor, with an index every 10 degres, and a text ("10°"; "20°"; "30°"... "350°) near the index.
I wonder if there is something like "multiple polar copy" where an entity is selected ( i.e a line or a text) and copied n times with a rotation amoungst center between each copy.
I tried Tools/modify/move and rotate but this do not result to the expected behaviour as we only can define de "final-point", not the center of rotation.

What I would like to do:

I draw a line from point (0,100) to (0,110) : a 10 Units long line on the Y axis,
Copy this line 36 times with central point of rotation = (0,0) and an angular distance of 10 degres between each copy.

A simpler way to describe waht I try to reach is haow to draw a clock with a dot (or line) every 5 minutes and a text showing the hour ( 1...12)

Is there a (simple) way to achieve this with LibreCAD ?

Thanks

			Hallo,

Pretty much what the subject line says: I'm looking for the LibreCAD analog of the AutoCAD "JOIN" command, which can (among other things) fuse multiple lines/curves/etc. into a single polyline or spline. So far, I haven't been able to find the equivalent command or guess it using synonyms for "join". Would someone please enlighten me? Thanks.

LibreCAD DXF to FreeCAD sketches

			Hi there,

I had plenty of LibreCad DXFs to import in FreeCAD so I made a little python script to convert them to FreeCAD sketches. It uses the ezdxf library and as of today, it can process the following elements:

    Lines
    Circles
    Circles Arcs
    Ellipses
    Ellipses Arcs
LW Polylines (exploded to lines or arcs)

Unlike FreeCAD's embedded importing tool, the process creates a sketch for each layer present in the DXF and attempts to create basic constraints between the entities in order to directly obtain closed shapes, such as:

    Lines lengths
    Lines Horizontality/Verticality
Coincidence between end points of lines, circles arcs, and ellipses arcs
Tangentiality of lines, circles arcs, and ellipses arcs
    Circles and Circles Arcs radiuses
Circles and Arcs centers fixed distance from origin
